About Us

The Broward-Dade Safety Council is an expansion of the non-profit agency that started as the Broward County Commission on Alcoholism, in 1969. It later became Florida's first DUI program, evolving into the Broward Court Alcohol and Substance Abuse Program (BCASAP) in the 1980's and 90's. It added traffic courses in the 90's and later became the Broward-Dade Safety Council. We provide all DUI programs, substance abuse evaluations and education, including an array of traffic programs including:

The Broward County Commission On Alcoholism, Inc., the Broward-Dade Safety Council and Broward Traffic School and the services provided are governed by the laws and rules established by the legislature of Florida, with regulatory authority given by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. The agency is part of the American Association of Safety Councils providing services in the Greater Fort Lauderdale and Greater Miami areas of South Florida.
